The manager get to supervise many different forms of services like retail stores, which offers the sale of different goods and services from people or business to the end consumer (Swapna 463). The significant challenges that are facing the retail stores have to be carefully addressed by the manager, by applying different managerial styles and skills. Various technical steps have to be followed if any effective achievements have to be made and be able to reach the expectations set out by the parent company. Like any other industry, the retail store is up against the challenging economy of the state. It has to fulfill the expectations of the parent company, which is the large national retailer that has taken over its ownership. Due to this change of control, the management regulations have also to be modified. The store was previously opened on Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm, but now the hours have been extended and this has made the number of shifts to increase. The current 20 employees cannot manage to cover the shifts, which should be covered by 25 employees.
